Bir restoranı anlatıyorsun: yemek güzeldi ama garson berbattı. Sorunun tam olarak nerede olduğunu göstermek için İngilizce vurgu kalıplarını kullanır: It was the service that disappointed me, not the food.
1Sohbet
- A: How was the new restaurant?A: Yeni restoran nasıldı?
- B: The food was great. It was the service that disappointed me.B: Yemek harikaydı. Beni hayal kırıklığına uğratan hizmetti.
- A: Was it slow?A: Yavaş mıydı?
- B: It wasn't the speed; it was the attitude. The waiter was really rude.B: Sorun hız değildi, tavırdı. Garson gerçekten kabaydı.
- A: That's a shame. Did you complain?A: Yazık. Şikâyet ettin mi?
- B: Yes. All I asked for was an apology, but I didn't get one.B: Evet. Tek istediğim bir özürdü ama alamadım.
- A: What did you like, then?A: Peki neyi beğendin?
Şikâyette asıl iş, sorunu doğru yere koymaktır: ne kötüydü, ne değildi.
