Türkçe "evet, beğendim" der ve fiili tekrarlar; İngilizce fiil yerine yardımcıyı tekrarlar. Tek başına Yes ya da No da doğrudur ve sık duyulur; yardımcılı cevap biraz daha tam ve yumuşak duyulur.

3Kısaltma sonda kalmaz
Olumlu kısa cevapta yardımcı kısaltılmaz; kısaltılmış bir yardımcı cümlenin sonunda tek başına duramaz. Olumsuzda ise kısaltma doğaldır: No, I'm not. No, she isn't.
4Cevapta he, she, I, we
Cevapta isim tekrarlanmaz, yerine he, she, it, they gelir. Soruda you varsa cevapta I ya da we olur.
