- Mümkün mü, hayal mi? Mümkünse if + present, will (ya da can, should, emir). Hayalse if + past, would (ya da could, might).
- Kesin mi? Olacağı kesinse if değil when.
- "-mezse" mi, "diye" mi? "-mezse" unless + olumlu cümle; "diye" in case.

- will ve would nerede? Yalnız ana cümlede; if, when, unless, in case parçasında asla.

Her koşul bir kararın sonucu: hava ve istek mümkün (present + will / can), dönüş kesin (when), yağmurluk önlem (in case), yorgunluk "-mezse" (unless). Birikim ve "senin yerinde olsam" hayal: past + would, were.

Gerçek: if parçası present, sonuç will.
